Mike established WatermanBurns in 2007. During his career he has operated at CEO and Executive Manager levels with some of the world’s largest infrastructure development companies. He has 35 years line management and corporate experience in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom, working in the engineering construction and property development sectors.

He has an established leadership track record in attracting, selecting, developing and motivating high calibre management teams that delivered exceptional outcomes.

Mike is a specialist with a proven track record in rectifying difficult company and project issues, through quick assessment and interpretation; clear analysis and planning and hands-on problem solving skills.

As the Chief Risk Officer for Leighton Holdings/CIMIC Group from 2012 to 2017, Mike oversaw the successful tendering and delivery of many of the largest infrastructure projects completed in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South-East Asia.

In 2017, Mike commenced his PHD studies at the University of Sydney in Construction Project Management. In addition to his Board commitments, Mike continues to Consult and provide Executive Coaching and Mentoring services to both Government and private clients.
